Total BTC mined: 0.10792419
Total BTC mined USD: $478.11 (based on today’s current exchange rate)
Total Spent: $1891.50
Remaining to break even: $1413.39
My overall mined value grew roughly $50 as two days of payouts plus a huge jump in Bitcoin price were factored into my stats. It’s been a good week for Bitcoin overall with prices jumping roughly 10% and Segwit finally activating as a temporary fix to the scaling issue that continues to plague the cryptocurrency.
The difficulty rate was also refactored and it actually dropped 3% meaning that my short term mining yield should increase on top of the increased value, a true win-win.
In other Bitcoin related news, I decided to bet 0.2 Bitcoin on Floyd Mayweather (at -500) to win this weekends fight. One of the surprising things about getting into BTC has been that every sports book seems more than happy to take cryptocurrency (in the hopes that you eventually lose all of it).
My win or loss on that bet won’t be factored into my ROI but it’s certainly made the currency that much more interesting.
